History -- and Future? -- of Educational Technology

Using Dipity, I've created an interactive, media-embedded timeline of some important milestones in the history of technology related to education... as well as some foresights for a future ahead.

Dipity can be a little finicky and buggy at times, but overall I love the fact that multiple sources and types of media and information can be easily embedded. On the other hand, I like the visual represention of times and events better at TimeGlider, because it allows more items to appear on the screen and some great features are that you can mark and sort types of events with special icons to easily distinguish between different categories of events, and it's also nice that it shows a continuous bar for an ongoing event or timespan, such as a war or someone's biographical lifespan. However, TimeGlider is even more buggy than Dipity, and doesn't allow all the rich multimedia embedding, so I went with Dipity. Someone out there, please make a non-glitchy app that is like Dipity but adds the visual categorization, ease of reading, and time-span bars of TimeGlider! Also, please be sure to allow BC/BCE dates in the timeline! (that is one feature that is the most critical for much of history, yet doesn't seem possible in Dipity)
